OEM:

• Commit to evaluating potential suppliers in the State of Wisconsin, as part of their strategic sourcing initiatives

• Share a supply management philosophy committed to long-term relationships with suppliers, not focused solely on lowest price in the short-term.

• Shares the vision of an OEM/Supplier relationship that is fully integrated and collaborative, focusing together on providing value to the end customer.

• Committed to lifelong learning that is implemented into sustainable direct bottom line results that improves the quality of their operation as well as their suppliers operation.

• Demonstrate an effective means of measuring supply base performance with the intent and goal of focusing on continuous improvement efforts that add value and benefit to the end customer.

• Willing to share best practices and lessons learned with their suppliers.

• Willing to co-visit each supplier with a WMEP representative once annually.

• Recognize and respect WMEP maintains complete confidentially with information shared by the supplier. Suppliers share only the information they choose to share with their OEM.

Supplier:

• Committed to the achieving the highest levels of excellence possible with each customer they work with.

• Committed to lifelong learning with skills implemented into sustainable, measurable direct bottom line results that reduce costs, reduce manufacturing cycle times (lead times), improve on-time delivery, improve quality, and reduce inventories.

• Willing to share best practices and lessons learned with their OEM.

• Recognize and respect WMEP maintains complete confidentially with information shared by the supplier. Suppliers share only the information they choose to share with their OEM.

• Recognize the need to measure performance with the goal of focusing on continuous improvement efforts that add value and benefit the end customer.

WMEP:

• Works directly for our customer and holds all information shared by our customer in full confidentiality and privacy. Is an independent, neutral, confidential, 3rd party coach, mentor and advisor.

• Is committed to improving the profitability and competitiveness of manufacturers in the State of Wisconsin.

• Works to share lessons and world-class skills; and to implement those skills that provide sustainable measurable direct bottom line results that reduce costs, reduce manufacturing cycle times (lead times), improve on-time delivery, improve quality, and reduce inventories.
